TV Isn’t Dead…Yet

How we get our news and information has become so fragmented lately. Below are 3 important tips to increase the chances of getting an interview on television.

  • Pics. Without visuals, telling your story becomes significantly more challenging. TV is inherently a visual medium, and it prioritizes images and videos.
  • Give memorable soundbites. Craft a great list of talking points so you have something unique to say.
  • Do I fit into the news cycle? This means you need a product, topic, or expertise that can be aligned with what the news cycle is interested in at the moment.

Solar legislation takes center stage

Legislation was recently introduced that would make it difficult for counties to say no to solar projects. SB 931, Renewable Energy Certainty Act would prohibit jurisdictions from adopting legislation or denying permits to prevent solar projects.

Farmers and legislators on Maryland’s Eastern Shore are concerned that the proliferation of solar projects on the Shore would take productive farmland out of use, and the towns and counties would not be able to stop it.
